蔣百鍊神父

1939年　赴中國山東省傳教

1944年　於北平輔仁大學服務

1963年    理工學院第一任院長    

1974年　返德，從事外交牧靈工作

 

蔣百鍊神父乃德籍聖言會會士，輔大在台復校的歷史性任務上，其扮演著極重要的角色，積極向國外募款成立理工學院並籌建校舍、添購儀器設備、延聘資深教授等。蔣神父擔任理工學院院務長多年，致力於外語學院的創立及聖言會單位許多硬體建設的規劃與募資，且秉持基督精神推動天主教大學的教育理想。

1960 played a key role in the refounding of Fu Jen University in Taiwan

1974 returned to Germany, did pastoral work for diplomatic circles

 

　　Father R. Arens was a member of the Society of the Divine Word, coming from Germany. He played a historical role in the refounding of Fu Jen University in Taiwan. Through his energetic management, the initial need of finance, especially for the College of Natural Sciences, was met by foreign Catholic agencies. He took care of the purchase of laboratory equipment and continuously extended the building program. He also recruited highly qualified professors. R. Arens was dean of the College of Natural Sciences for many years and participated in establishing the College of Foreign Languages, as far as construction work and fund-raising were concerned. In a spirit of Catholicity he totally dedicated himself to promote the ideal of education at Fu Jen.
